South Korean multinational LG has recently announced that its much-awaited flagship smartphone, named LG G5, will hit the retail markets in the home country starting 31st of March. LG also affirmed that the forthcoming handset will go on sale in the United States starting 1st April.
LG though has not yet disclosed any pricing information. However, one of the Reddit users has shared a picture of a publicity banner displaying the price of $99.99 for Sprint and Verizon carriers for the span of two years in the US. In addition, the price for unlocked device is depicted as $799.99.
The company is also leading a pre-order campaign for the G5 handset where the users are being offered a free of cost cradle and an additional battery for the device.
LG G5 will feature a 5.3-inches IPS display with 1440×2560p screen resolution and 554ppi pixel density. The handset will be powered by Snapdragon 820 by Qualcomm augmented with Adreno 530 GPU for graphics.
LG G5 will sport 16MP rear camera with f/1.8 as well as an 8MP front-facing snapper to click selfies. Connectivity options will include HSPA, GSM and LTE. In addition, the device will also support USB Type C connectivity and it will be driven by Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow out of the box.
Additional specs include an all-metal unibody design and 2800mAh removable battery backup. The G5 by LG will come in four color options including Gold, Pink, Silver and Titan.
LG appears to be geared up so as to offer a tough competition to its rivals with the new G5 handset.
