The South Korean tech giant, Samsung has launched the highly anticipated Galaxy A7 (2016) and Galaxy A5 (2016) in China. Although an early 2016 release was being expected, this early launch makes the device a couple of weeks ahead of the predicted schedule. However, Galaxy A3 is still under the wraps and Samsung fans await the device to be listed on the official website. Both Galaxy A7 (2016) and Galaxy A5 (2016) are available on the Official site of Samsung for purchase. Meanwhile, Europe will have to wait until January 8th, 2016 to purchase 2016 edition of Galaxy A series.
Samsung Galaxy A7 features a full HD 5.5-inches super AMOLED display with 1080×1920 pixel screen resolution. Galaxy A5 sports a full HD 5.2-inches super AMOLED display with the same screen resolution.
Both handsets feature an octa-core processor clocked at 1.6GHz. However, Galaxy A7 sports 3300 mAh battery backup and A5 is powered by 2900 mAh battery.
For camera, both Galaxy A7 (2016) and Galaxy A5 (2016) include an LED flash and optical image stabilization supported 13MP primary camera along with a 5MP front-facing lens designed particularly to capture selfies.
In terms of storage, both the devices come with a 16GB built-in storage which can be extended up to 128GB. However A7 (2016) features 3GB of RAM while Galaxy A5 (2016) sports 2GB RAM internally.
In addition, both A7 and A5 feature similar connectivity specs that include WI-FI 802.11 a/b/g/n, USB 2.0, Bluetooth 4.1, ANT+ and NFC. The handsets have been released in 4 colour variants including white, black, gold and rose gold.
Galaxy A7 hangs a price tag of CNY 2699 whereas A5 will come with a price tag of CNY 2,398.
