The South Koreanfirm Samsung’s upcoming Smartphone flagship Galaxy S7 has been shrouded in mystery so far. From display to actual phone size to chip variations, the smartphone circles have been abuzz with rumors from day one. And it certainly does not help when these leaks so often contradict each other.
So far, it has only been determined that three sizes and four versions of Samsung Galaxy S7 will be available.
The regular Samsung Galaxy S7 will flaunt a flat 5.1-inches screen, the S7 edge will pack in a 5.5-inches screen while Samsung Galaxy S7+ will feature a 6-inches screen.
A few tipsters have suggested that the two flat screen and large screen handsets will be released together. In terms of chipsets, there are conclusive proofs of the presence of Snapdragon 820 processor by Qualcomm in some or may be all the versions of Samsung Galaxy S7. The remaining versions might employ company’s own Exynos 8890 SoC.
Indonesian Security site recorded two of the suggested Samsung S7 variants supporting the SM-G930FD and SM-G935FD.
If we compare the suggested model numbers with those of Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 edge, Galaxy flat screen S6 and curved S6 edge employ the G920 and G925 version numbers correspondingly.
The letter FD on the other hand suggests that that it will be a Dual-SIM featuring handset and will also be supported by Exynos SoC because Samsung Galaxy S6 model SM-G920FD was a Dual-SIM handset featuring Exynos.
According to the reports, it will flaunt a Super AMOLED QHD displays, 12MP Britecell primary shooter and 4GB of RAM. Other speculations also indicate the presence of larger battery, water-proof feature and microSD card support. It is speculated to be launched on the 21st of the next month.
