The upgraded version of the premium device dubbed Mi Note 2 by Xiaomi has been rumored for quite some time. The latest reports suggest that the Chinese company may launch more than one variants of its high-end flagship Mi device. This leaks suggest that a Snapdragon 820 SoC model coupled with 4GB of RAM and 32GB ROM will be released quite soon.
It was previously suggested that Mi Note 2 would land with a Snapdragon 821 chipset with 6GB RAM and 64/128GB storage options on board.
All the three variants are rumored to pack in 5.7-inch screen and are expected to run Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box.
The standard model of the device is expected to feature a 16MP back camera, while the high-end variants will come with 12MP dual shooters on the rear panel. Other specs include a fingerprint sensor, and NFC support. All the upcoming handsets will be backed by 4000mAh battery.
As far as the availability of these handsets is concerned, the official release date has not been confirmed yet. However, speculations suggest that Mi Note 2 will be launched somewhere around October at the Xiaomi’s Summer Conference.
As for the pricing details, the 4GB variant is expected to land with a price tag of CNY 2,499, while the 6GB models with 64GB and 128GB ROM storage choices are said to come with a price sticker of CNY 2,999 and CNY 3,499 respectively.
