T-Mobile has added to the series of affordable smartphones with its latest device ZTE Obsidian. T-Mobile International AG, a German company for various mobile communications subsidiaries outside Germany has announced the release of the new ZTE Obsidian, which will be available in the market on August 13.
This new android smartphone is highly awaited owing to its extremely low price. The ZTE Obsidian combines many exciting features in a single device thus making it one of the most anticipated smartphone by T-mobile. The ZTE Obsidian will be available to the users for a mere $99.99 or for just over $4 for 24 months.
T-Mobile’s latest android phone features an internal storage memory of 1GB RAM, while the built in storage capacity of the ZTE Obsidian is also expandable using a MicroSD card which can support up to 4GB. ZTE Obsidian is powered by a 1800mAh battery that can last several hours if the phone is in idle state.
ZTE Obsidian is powered by Media Tek's MT6735M chipset, boasting a 1 GHz quad-core CPU which comes in handy when the phone is being used for multitasking as it employs multicore processing. Media Tek is the 4th largest IC designer worldwide and is renowned for excellent chipset quality.
ZTE Obsidian has an attractive look and stylish body. The elegant design features a 4.5-inches 854×480 display. The touch panel of the phone is highly attractive and sensitive which makes it easier to use. ZTE Obsidian runs ANDROID 5.1 lollipop operating system. The most prominent changes in the Lollipop release is a redesigned user interface built around a design language. Other changes include improvements to the notifications, which can be accessed from the lock screen and displayed within applications as top-of-the-screen banners. There is an option to save photos in a raw image format. The aim is to improve battery consumption through project Volta including new battery saver mode.
T-Mobile is now aiming widen their smartphone sales in the international market by providing all the basic features of an android smartphone at a relatively lower price.
