The Chinese mobile phone manufacturer Gionee‘s Marathon series of massive-battery Smartphones was just updated with the launch of Marathon M5 Plus and M5 Enjoy. Released in China hardly a few hours ago, the two handsets present one distinct difference from the pioneer Marathon M5’s features – the fingerprint scanner.
MARATHON M5 PLUS:
The Gionee Marathon M5 Plus remains on top of the list of Marathon series. The device features a MediaTek MT6753 SoC along with an octa-core CPU clocked at 1.3GHz. For memory, the handset packs in 3GB of RAM along with an internal memory of 64GB which can be extended up to 128GB via microSD card.
In terms of display, Gionee Marathon 5 Plus flaunts a full HD 6-inches AMOLED display and sports a 5020mAh battery with fast charging capacity. For camera, the handset packs in a 13MP rear shooter along with a 5MP front-facing snapper for selfies and runs an Amigo 3.1 on Android 3.1 Lollipop.
MARATHON M5 ENJOY
Alongside M5 Plus, the company has also launched Marathon M5 Enjoy, which features almost similar specs as original M5. The handset features a HD 5.5-inches IPS TFT touch sensitive display with 1280×720p screen resolution.
Marathon M5 Enjoy sports Type-C reversible USB. For memory the device packs 3GB of RAM along with 16GB internal memory that can be expanded up to 128GB through microSD card.
In terms of camera, Gionee’s new Smartphone packs in a LED flash supported rear camera that also sports auto-focus, geo tagging and face detection capabilities. The handset also features a hearty 5MP front camera for selfies.
The Marathon M5 Enjoy is driven by Quad-core Cortex A-53 chipset clocked at 1.3GHz along with Mali T720 MP2 GPU and runs Android 5.1 Lollipop OS.
